According to the latest sources, the oldest cat to ever be recorded lived until he was an amazing 38 years - that's 169 in cat years!

International CatCare describes that cats have six distinct life stages, all of which require their own care and feeding requirements as your cats grow and develop.

  • Kitten - 0 - 6 months - a period when your cat is rapidly growing and learning

  • Junior - 7 months - 2 years - during this time your cat will reach full size and learn lots about life

  • Prime - 3 - 6 years - your cat will be physically mature and making the best of life

  • Mature - 7 - 10 years - this is equivalent to humans in their mid-40s to mid-50s

  • Senior - 7 - 14 years - an older cat up to 70 human years

  • Super Senior - 15 years and over - many cats will reach this age and continue to live a good life.
